Under a contractual arrangement with the Chickasaw Nation, Love County EMS/Fire Brigade employs First Aid Attendants at Riverwind Casino. They provide 24-hour emergency medical support to the many patrons and employees. Below, meet three of our valued First Aid Attendants at Riverwind Casino.
Amber Pate, EMT, First Aid Attendant,
Riverwind Casino
Pate's interst in emergency response
extends to law enforcement. She has
completed EMT training and is a junior
year student in criminal justice/forensics
at the University of Central Oklahoma. A
First Aid Attendant since 2013, Pate joined
the casino in security in 2008. She was an
athletic trainer in high school.
Minh Lai, EMT, First Aid Attendant,
Riverwind Casino
A First Aid Attendant since 2013, Lai holds
a bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary
studies from Oklahoma City Community
College. He is eyeing future education in the
Physician Assistant field. On the job, 'I've
seen everything from full cardiac arrest to
needing a band aid."
Amanda Gann, EMT, First Aid Attendant,
Riverwind Casino
A First Aid Attendant since 2011, Gann
says, "I love emergency medicine. I grew
up watching 'Rescue 911' and reading
medical books." Gann is a nursing student
at Oklahoma City Community College. In
2010, she earned a health and exercise
science degree from OU, where she was
president of the Pre-Physician Assistant
Club and played in the pride of Oklahoma
marching band.
