The 30-seat training and distance learning center opened on hospital grounds in 2007. It is helping hospital and clinic staff meet many of their educational needs right here at home. In a major development, it is making Love County self-sufficient in producing our own high-quality paramedics and basic emergency medical technicians.
The training center is also serving rural fire departments and other emergency response organizations in Love County. Employers and the general public are being offered American Heart Association training in CPR, defibrillation, and related classes.
The training center features state-of-the-art videoconferencing and a fulltime trainer.
The complete schedule of current classes, including Basic EMT and Paramedic Training, is available at the Love County EMS website, www.lovecountyems.net.
