Mercy Health/Love County Hospital welcomes the addition of Maria Maynard, PA, and Brittany Zimmerman, PA. 

Both women are Physician Assistants in the hospital’s emergency department.  

They completed clinical rotations in the ER while students in the University of Oklahoma Physician Assistant Program in the OU College of Medicine.

Ready, set, go! Legacy Park Recreational Trail opened with a flurry of activity on March 21. An estimated 650 people visited the new, 1/2-mile loop northeast of Mercy Health/Love County Hospital during opening day festivities from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Soaked grounds and a forecast threatening more thunderstorms accompanied by lightning for Friday has caused organizers to set a new date for the planned dedication of the Legacy Park Recreational Trail.

The trail was to have been formally opened at 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 11. Instead, the dedication and full schedule of events will now take place on Monday, March 21.

Facts About Legacy Park Recreational Trail

Finishing Touches: The trail is asphalted in February 2016 for
access to walkers, runners, bikers, skaters, and wheelchairs.
The trail is 10 feet wide and describes a 1/2 mile loop 
roughly following the perimters of the hospital complex.

The county's recreational trail at Legacy Park will be dedicated on Friday, March 11. The ribbon cutting is at 8:30 a.m. and will be followed by walking and running events for all ages throughout the day.

Shelter in a Storm: A crane lowers a Survive-A-Storm
tornado shelter onto a concrete slab, as Mercy Health/
Love County makes provision for the safety of patients,
staff, and visitors. 

The 10 foot by 48 foot shelter, located on the east side of
the hospital, between the Therapy Building and the
Food Pantry, will hold 125 people. A smaller unit will serve
Mercy Love County Adult Day Center one block south.
